Denyse Kayumba

Denyse is a dedicated disability support worker. She has 3 years of experience working as an overnight residential support worker with complex needs individuals and also works as a full-time respite weekend worker. She is looking to expand her gifts within her own home as a residential supportive roommate within the community of Calgary NE in the Corner Meadows Gate area. Denyse's expansive experiences truly meet the demand of an excellent supportive roommate needed within the field today. She has completed several courses including autism, FASD, dementia, and down syndrome. Along with her vast skillset, she is also a hard working, dedicated , and compassionate caregiver who is looking forward to opening up her home to reach true inclusion for all individuals that she will support.

Halima Ahmed

Halima has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology as well as 10+ years of experience as a social worker, working with families fleeing domestic violence, addiction centers and with those suffering from mental health issues and homelessness. She has gained invaluable knowledge and acquired many tools working with vulnerable populations in a non-judgmental, supportive manner. Since caring for disenfranchised and marginalized people is her core passion, becoming a supportive roommate is a natural transition. Halima hopes to make positive, impactful changes in the lives of individuals who experience mental, physical, cognitive and behavioural challenges. Halima views this journey into becoming a supportive roommate as individuals not only living in her home, but becoming a true part of her family. Halima lives about a 3 minute drive from Village Square Leisure Centre, offering any roommate many recreational activities to enjoy.

Natalie Williams

Natalie has 8 years of experience as a health care aide worker within various hospital throughout Calgary. Currently, she is a part-time disability support worker. She is looking forward to the opportunity to serve the community as a respite worker and as a full time residential supportive roommate. Serving the community of Calgary is at the forefront of her passions. She wholeheartedly believes that following the path of becoming a supportive roommate for an individual in need would be a blessing. She is ready to offer her roommate a place to call home in the NE of the city.

Ted Lemanski

Ted is a Recreational Therapist, lifeguard and ski instructor. Ted has a vibrant passion for the great outdoors. His skills in and love for biking, hiking and swimming are a real asset as it pertains to his work as a supportive roommate. All of this will translate to a great and unique opportunity for any individual that lives and works with Ted Lemanski. His home is also ideally located just SW of the city, 11 minutes form Chinook mall and LRT station. Ted is always open to a conversation about residential roommates and respites.

Elizabeth Ekpe

Elizabeth is an experienced Alberta Health care aide worker. She is a standout as a compassionate disability support worker in the community. She has a passion for helping individuals and finds it rewarding to help empower individuals and dedicates herself to those that she works with. She is the owner of a beautiful two bedroom, wheelchair accessible home right next to the Rockyview YMCA in the NW of the city. This location is ideal and will foster true inclusion in the community for any individual she supports in her home.

Tony Garrick

Tony is an experienced support worker in the city of Calgary. With over 31 different certificates on diagnosed disabilities and problem solving, he is equipped with all of the tools to help advance the quality of lives for the people he supports. He also goes the extra mile by working with individuals within the community from 9am to 3pm. He is exemplary in his work with clients in and out of his home and will provide your loved ones the opportunity to experience true inclusion. He is proficient in developing a weekly schedule of exercise at local gyms, arts and crafts and music. He also works to empower individuals by helping to teach them the daily activities involved in achieving independence living. Your community access guy is definitely Tony Garrick.

Maurice Obasi

Maurice has 5 years of experience working within the realms of complex needs, residential as well as community access. Maurice has extensive awareness and understanding of complex needs and how to best approach them. Maurice is trained in autism awareness and CPI and is fluent in both English and French, making him a dynamic caregiver. He will provide his roommate excellent and in depth support and will treat them like a part of the family. He is truly the compassionate and caring caregiver you can rely on.

Olu and Fummi

Olu & Fummi both have their Bachelor's degrees in Professional Art and Human Services. Fummi has completed an Alberta government health care aide certificate. Olu has a backround as a Correctional Peace Officer. They are a warm and compassionate couple that have a lot of love and passion for the community of Airdrie. They will be excellent supportive roommates for any individual (s) that join their caring and nurturing home.
